Denmark and social norms..SAY WHAT?!

Last week we examined a oprah show about how culture around the world is so much different from our own and how social norms are constantly being broken. This week we were given an assignment to make a social norm and break it, my groups distribance was tattoos and how people see them now. Sure enough we had distribing looks and very dumbfounded people looking at us. when i think about this it all falls into one thought what the hell is going on? in denmark you can leave a child outside becuase its plain normal in america you leave your child outside and you should expect your child to be stolen or your butt being detained for endangerment. i find it almost insane that we follow everything by the book we were given growing up who gives us these social norms? one thing ive learned about this expierence is that no matter where you go there will always be some thing you do wrong just because your different in a way its a fun thing to learn another way to get hated.
